This document outlines each of the campaign’s main goals to improve the overall quality of a facility, including four clinical goals and four process-related goals. Facilities taking part are urged to work on at least one goal in each category.

The goals discussed in the document are:

  • Reducing Pressure Ulcers
  • Reducing the Daily Use of Physical Restraints
  • Improving the Management of Pain in Long-Stay Residents and Short-Stay
  • Setting Individualized Targets for Clinical Quality Improvement
  • Measuring Resident and/or Family Satisfaction and Incorporating This Information to Quality-Improvement Activities
  • Measuring Nursing Staff Turnover and Developing Action Plans to Improve Staff Retention
  • Adopting “Consistent Assignment.”
