A Plan G Medicare Supplemental policy is essentially the same as a Plan F, other than the fact that the Part B deductible has to be paid before benefits go into affect.
Once the Part B deductible has been paid, you are required to pay the cost of medicare approved Part B services which is typically only 20%.

You should also be aware of the fact that most Medicare Supplemental plans do cover excess charges, the reason for that is because these excess charges are considered to be outside of the medicare approved charge. The exposure of doctors who do not accept medicare assignment may charge up to 15 percent more then what would normally be paid through Medicare.
